Maj. (Dr.) Rabson Mbewe, (MBChB, BScHB – UNZA) is currently at the University Teaching Hospitals (UTHs) -- Adult Hospital, Department of Radiology where he is pursuing a Specialty Training Programme (STP) in Radiology.
He graduated from the University of Zambia, School of Medicine and previously worked at Nchanga South Hospital in Chingola, as a Junior Resident Medical Officer and upon completion of his internship was posted to Petauke as a Senior Resident Medical Officer at Petauke District Hospital. He then enlisted into the Zambia Army in 2017 and upon commissioning from the Zambia Military Academy he was posted to Chipata where he worked for 4 years at Gondar Camp Hospital as Regimental Medical Officer. During his service in Chipata, he was sent to the Central African Republic under the Zambian UN peace Mission as a Medical Officer during which he was stationed in Bria town for a year in 2019. In 2022, he was posted to Lusaka to serve as Garrison Medical Officer at Arakan Garrison Hospital within the Zambia Army Headquarters Garrison, before starting his STP Radiology training. He is also a Stage IV Master of Public Health student with the University of Lusaka.
