New Final Year Undergraduate Students Joining the DataLab Lab in 2021

We have a total of 20 final-year undergraduate students working on projects related to what we do as a research group. All the new students are supervised by faculty staff associated with the lab.

• Trey Chakulya, Elijah Chileshe, Sharon Kangwa, Royce Mwanza, and Victor Mwewa are working towards designing effective Institutional Repository self-archiving software tools
• Bydon Simukoko, Danny Siabbaba, David Pungwa, Ivy Chisha, and Mutune Chaibela are systematically working towards building machine learning models for classifying students at-risk of failing
• MacMillan Hamaamba, Moses Mabunga, Chengo Mapoma, Mwangala Nzila, and Musa Simfukwe will be comparatively evaluating popular Free and Open Source Learning Management Systems
• Inutu Lubinda, Matthews Lungu, Hockings Mambwe, Jefferson Ndhlovu, and Lewis Njembeni are designing and building an Open Educational Resource (OER) repository and a standalone application for creating OER resources
