Congratulations to Robert M'sendo for Successfully Defending His MSc Dissertation

Multi-faceted Automatic Classification of Institutional Repository Digital Objects

Robert M'sendo successfully defended and passed his "MSc in Computer Science Dissertation" on March 17, 2023.
Robert shall be graduating in the next coming weeks, at this year's 52nd Graduation Ceremony of The University of Zambia.

Robert's dissertation proposed a radical shift from the current manually intensive processes associated with ingestion of digital content in Institutional Repositories, through the use of supervised machine learning techniques.

Portions of Robert's dissertation were published in a conference paper title "Improved Discoverability of Digital Objects in Institutional Repositories Using Controlled Vocabularies" [1], presented at a prestigious conference---The 2021 ACM/IEEE Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL 2021).
