Congratulations to Malaizyo Muzumala, who successfully defended his Master of Science in Computer Science thesis, Exploring Artificial Intelligence Based Interpretation of Medical Images in Radiological Workflows in Zambia, on March 25, 2026.
Malaizyo's research, part of the Enterprise Medical Imaging project and supported by the Data Science Africa African Artificial Intelligence Research Award, investigated the perceived workload, usability and usefulness of AI-based tools for interpreting medical images in Zambian public health facilities.
