Diamond Open Access Journals

Diamond Open Access Journals

Diamond Open Access journals publish research free of charge to both authors and readers. This project, carried out as part of the EIFL-funded project Improved Quality and Visibility of Diamond Open Access Journals at The University of Zambia, develops tools and workflows to improve the quality, indexing and visibility of journals hosted by the University of Zambia, starting with the Journal of Agricultural and Biomedical Sciences (JABS).

The work includes custom Open Journal Systems (OJS) plugins for metadata verification, DOI deposition and repository integration, ORCID integration, and editorial workflow improvements to prepare the journals for inclusion in indexing services such as DOAJ and AJOL.
